I am a self-taught freelance photographer and artist, working between analogue medium format and digital photography. My practice is rooted in landscape and nature, where time slows down and images emerge through observation, patience, and intention.
During my studies in fine art I started to work with analogue black and white photography, developing and printing my first shots. In the beginning I used a 35mm Olympus OM1, which was a great tool to get into photography. Soon I got into medium format film, first with a Pentax645, then with a Hasselblad 500cm, which is still my preferred camera system for analogue medium format photography.
The timeless 6x6 square format became a vital part of my compositions. It works as well with landscapes, as it does in portraiture and street photography. While I tend to crop my digital work into various formats, I hardly ever change the original composition of my medium format shots. When I shoot film I take much more time to compose my image, than I do in digital. The square composition, choice of film type and filters are my way to create unique moments, aspiring to create the feeling of looking at a painting or through a window into the captured world.
During the last 18 years, I have traveled across different countries, collecting fragments of land, light, and silence. My work moves between analogue and digital, black and white and long exposure, exploring the subtle tension between stillness and motion, permanence and change.
Analogue photography plays a central role in my process. Working with a Hasselblad 500CM, the square format becomes an essential compositional element—balanced, contained, and deliberate. The absence of hierarchy in the square frame encourages a different way of seeing, one that emphasises structure, rhythm, and presence. Each image is composed with care, shaped as much by limitation as by freedom.
My digital work is created with a Canon 5DS R and Canon 5D Mk IV, offering precision and clarity while maintaining a visual dialogue with my analogue practice.
Alongside landscapes, I photograph classic car events, portraits, and scenes from urban and street environments. These subjects allow me to explore form, surface, and character, extending the same contemplative approach beyond nature.

For commissioned work, including event photography and portraiture I use the Canon 5D Mk IV and 5DS R with a variety of lenses for high quality outcomes. It is possible to add analogue medium format camera equipment if requested.
